Terms and Conditions for Donors

Last Updated: June 21, 2025

IMPORTANT NOTICE: BY MAKING A DONATION TO RELIEF ALLIANCE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY.

1. Organization Information and Tax-Exempt Status

Relief Alliance, Inc. (“Relief Alliance,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Florida nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Federal Identification Number (EIN): 99-5000564. Donations to Relief Alliance are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law. Relief Alliance will provide a written acknowledgment of contributions of $250 or more as required by Section 170(f)(8) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donors are advised to consult with a qualified tax professional regarding the deductibility of their contributions.

2. Use of Donated Funds

Relief Alliance is committed to using donated funds in furtherance of its charitable mission. Unless a donation is designated for a specific program or purpose at the time of giving, Relief Alliance retains full discretion to allocate donated funds to any program, operational need, or organizational purpose consistent with its mission and in compliance with applicable law and IRS regulations. Relief Alliance makes no guarantee that donated funds will be used exclusively for any particular program or geographic area.

Designated gifts will be honored to the extent practicable. If a designated program is discontinued or if the designated purpose becomes impracticable, Relief Alliance reserves the right to redirect funds to a substantially similar purpose in accordance with applicable law.

3. No Refund Policy

ALL DONATIONS TO RELIEF ALLIANCE ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. By making a donation, you acknowledge that your contribution is a voluntary gift and that you are not entitled to any refund, return, or exchange. In the event of a documented error in the processing of a donation (such as a duplicate charge or incorrect amount), Relief Alliance will review the matter on a case-by-case basis and, at its sole discretion, may issue a correction. Requests for error corrections must be submitted in writing to info@reliefalliance.org within thirty (30) days of the transaction date.

4. Recurring Donations

Donors who establish recurring donation arrangements authorize Relief Alliance to charge the designated payment method on the agreed-upon schedule until the donor provides written notice of cancellation. Cancellation requests must be submitted to info@reliefalliance.org at least five (5) business days before the next scheduled charge. Relief Alliance is not responsible for charges that occur before a timely cancellation request is processed.

5. Payment Processing and Security

Donations are processed through third-party payment processors. By making a donation, you consent to the collection and processing of your payment information by such processors in accordance with their respective privacy policies and terms of service. Relief Alliance does not store complete payment card information on its servers. Relief Alliance is not responsible for errors, failures, or security incidents attributable to third-party payment processors.

6. Donor Representations and Warranties

By making a donation, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are at least 18 years of age or have the legal authority to make the donation; (b) the funds being donated are lawfully yours and are not the proceeds of any unlawful activity; (c) your donation does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or contractual obligation; and (d) you are not a foreign government, foreign political party, or agent thereof making a contribution in violation of applicable law.

7. Donor Recognition and Privacy

Relief Alliance may publicly recognize donors in its publications, website, annual reports, and promotional materials unless a donor expressly requests anonymity in writing at the time of the donation. Donor information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Relief Alliance does not sell donor information to third parties.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RELIEF ALLIANCE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO ANY DONOR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY DONATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CLAIMS RELATED TO THE USE OF DONATED FUNDS, TAX TREATMENT OF DONATIONS, OR PROGRAM OUTCOMES. RELIEF ALLIANCE’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO ANY DONOR SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF THE DONATION GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Orange County, Florida, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Donors waive the right to participate in any class action proceeding against Relief Alliance.
